Called to serve. Rooted in community.

Rev. Eric A. Thomas

Pastor of Siloam since 2017

Rev. Thomas has the double distinction of being the first pastor ordained at Siloam and its first openly same-gender loving pastor. He has helped to modernize the operations of the church with much-needed building repairs and by welcoming Bed-Stuy Kids and Futbol Rebels to share space in the church's Parish House. Under his tenure, community partnerships have been established with Brooklyn chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gay Men of African Descent, The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries, Covenant House, and Kingston Family Center.

He earned a Ph.D. in Bible and Culture at Drew University and the Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center, is Assistant Professor of Bible at the General Theological Seminary, and serves in leadership roles with the General Assembly of the PC(USA), the Synod of the Northeast, and the Presbytery of New York City.
